"Thanatophobia" follows Ernie Cranshaw (Stu Klitsner), a Kentucky native suffering from nightmares from his childhood. Each morning he wakes, peering over at a flyer of a pristine retirement community, refusing to take the next step in his remaining years. The only precious memory he has in a drunken stupor of a life, lies in a frame on his bedside table - an old photo of his eight year-old daughter, and a ticket to classic theater.

 

After visiting a 50s diner for breakfast, he’s offered a unique opportunity to relive the past, before the theater closes down for good.
